The Allan M Block Agency, Inc is co-sponsoring the Rotary Club of the Tarrytown’s Ducky Derby Day to be held Saturday April 26, 2008 in Patriot’s Park, Tarrytown, NY.  JoAnne Murray, Personal Lines President of the Allan M Block Agency and Rotary Club member as well as the club’s past President, is one of the events mascots and organizers.  For the big kick off she arrived in a duck costume and has been seen around town to help advertise the event.  

 

The Ducky Derby is in collaboration with the Tarrytown Family YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day.  Sponsors include Hudson Harbor, LLC, Tarrytown Honda, and Allan M Block Agency, Inc.

 

1200 Rubber Duckies are available for adoption at a cost of $10 each and will be raced down the Mighty Partriot’s Park Brook.  The Tarrytown Fire Department will assist with the “water power” if needed to insure a swift race.  The race starts at 12:30pm.

 

In addition to the duck races, activities will run from noon until 4pm.  There will also be food, live music and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
