Following our annual tradition, the staff of the Allan Block Insurance Agency choose to hold a diaper drive for their charity drive this year. We collected over 1800 diapers for the clients of the Community Food Pantry of Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown. Our Vice President Operations, Margaret Black, volunteers their and is an advisor.
The mission of the pantry is to distribute healthy food to the hungry in the Villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow. Many clients often request diapers which are donated by various organizations. It was the perfect fit for both our staff and the pantry!
Holding the drive was fun! Many of us needed an education on diapers. Who knew there were so many choices! It is a nice feeling to know these diapers will serve so many in our community.
